Terri Murray

Terri Murray, WHYY's Chief Content Officer and Vice President of Programming and Production, joined WHYY in 2017, overseeing the station's broadcast, radio, and digital studio platforms.

Murray is a national Emmy Award-winning content producer, director, and storytelling strategist with a proven track record in developing and managing high-profile, unscripted programming for multiple platforms.

Murray has launched several original arts and culture series since joining WHYY, including You Oughta Know, a guide to people, places, and events you might not know about in the Greater Philadelphia Region, Movers & Makers, which explores the vibrant and unique local arts scene and, Check Please! Philly, a weekly, half-hour series offering the region's amateur foodies the chance to dish about their favorite restaurants. In addition, Murray spearheaded WHYY's monthly news Civic Engagement series, Community Conversations, which targets serious subjects that impact us all, including the gun crisis, reparations, and Asian hate crimes.

Before joining WHYY in 2018, Murray had a distinguished career as an Executive Producer and Director of Development and Original Programming for Discovery Networks, TV One Networks, and Scripps Networks.
