Roger Mukasa
Roger is the Finance Manager for PBS Wisconsin, which is the lead finance position for the statewide television service. He serves on the PBS Wisconsin Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for financial operations, status and reporting, the annual budget including revenue and expenditures, identifying and ensuring efficient, compliant, and effective financial policies and practices, and supervising the TV finance team. Roger serves on the finance committee of the Friends of PBS Wisconsin’s Board of directors. As a member of TV’s Senior Leadership Team, Roger implements strategic planning initiatives and establishes objectives to ensure appropriate use of the station’s financial, administrative and staffing resources in alignment with the strategic plan. He also advises and assists with developing the overall strategic and operational direction of PBS Wisconsin’s statewide service.
Roger came to PBS Wisconsin after serving in key financial positions in both the private sector and Wisconsin State service. In the private sector, Roger served as the Manager of Treasury Operations at Exelon Corporation responsible for treasury policy and operations, credit management and audit support; as Senior Treasury Analyst at Madison Gas & Electric Company responsible for cash policy and management, audit support and shareholder services; and as the World Council of Credit Union’s Country Director of USAID’s Microfinance Expansion Project in Kenya – advocating for, and expanding access to, financial services for low-income individuals and families. In State service, Roger served as a Senior Finance, Quantitative and Risk Analyst for the State of Wisconsin Investment Board; as Section Chief of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Division of Medicaid Services; as Research Assistant/Chief of Staff for the Wisconsin Legislative Assembly’s State Representative; and as a Wisconsin Justice System, Executive Budget and Policy Analyst for the Wisconsin Department of Administration State Budget Office.
Outside of work, Roger shares his finance expertise by volunteering his time as a Board Member and on the Audit & Finance Committee of Slipstream, a national, mission-driven nonprofit working to inspire solutions to climate and energy challenges. Roger also serves on the Executive Council of the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee.
Roger earned a BSc. degree in English Literature and a M.Sc. in Finance, Investing, and Banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
