PMWL Strengthens Leadership Team with New Board Appointments
Public Media Women in Leadership welcomes New Board Members
(May 6, 2025) – Public Media Women in Leadership (PMWL), the organization focused on supporting the leadership and professional development journeys of women and gender-expansive individuals in public media, is proud to announce the appointment of three new members to its board of directors:
Becky Magura, President & CEO, Nashville Public Television
Iris Drayton-Spann, Vice President, Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer, WETA
Erika Matsuda, Director, Content Operations & Strategy, PBS
They join a dedicated board of professionals committed to advancing equity and leadership in public media. The full board of directors includes:

About Public Media Women in Leadership
Public Media Women in Leadership was founded in January 2015 by Deanna Martin Mackey and Jeannie Ericson to provide a forum for women leaders and aspiring leaders to support and learn from each other, offer training and mentorship opportunities, build community, and advocate for gender and racial equity in public media.
Today, PMWL continues this mission under the leadership of Executive Director, Aishah Rashied Hyman and Administrative Assistant, Kara McKinley, who guide day-to-day operations and programming.
With over 2,400 active members in its Facebook group, PMWL offers webinars, workshops, mentoring, and two signature programs: the annual Brave Talk conference and the highly successful and impactful CEO/COO Bootcamp, which prepares emerging leaders for executive-level success.
