Michele Colomer

Michele Colomer is the Assistant Station Manager at WMFU, a commercial-free, listener-supported freeform radio station located in NYC / NJ where her main role revolves around station fundraising. There she is also the host of a weekly three-hour radio show called Feelings. Michele has spent about a decade at WFMU starting as a volunteer and then moving to seasonal data entry, then a part-time position creating and running the e-commerce store, to her current position as Assistant General Manager.

Prior to her involvement in community radio Michele held a number of positions in the arts, primarily as a Print and Digital Graphic Designer. One of her most exciting projects was as an Editorial Designer of a bilingual community newspaper based in Nosara, Costa Rica.

Michele is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. She acquired a BA and a BFA from Boston University and an MFA from University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, she is a visual artist currently practicing in the mediums of drawing and ceramics.
