ERIKA MATSUDA

Erika Matsuda is the Membership and Events Manager at MontanaPBS in Bozeman, Montana. Since 2015 she has managed and led a dedicated and successful team that has seen substantial revenue and membership growth. She works on numerous initiatives to cultivate donor support at MontanaPBS. Her main areas of focus are the on-air pledge drives, annual mailings, donor appreciation and outreach events. Most recently she spearheaded the sustainer membership program which has grown from 18% of the donor file to now 35% sustaining members.

Erika served as Chair of the Montana State University Professional Council from 2018 – 2019, is an alumni of both Leadership MSU class of 2018 and Leadership Bozeman 29 class of 2017.

She is passionate about leadership skills and public media. She loves to learn and never hesitates to try new and challenging projects. In 2019, Erika was fortunate to have been a mentee in PMWL’s Mentoring and Engagement program and also attended Brave Talk at Greater Public's PMDMC that same year.

She is honored to be one of PMWL’s ambassadors and hopes to make a positive difference in this role by supporting her colleagues who want access to more professional development opportunities. She looks forward to connecting with PMWL participants and empowering each other to gain stronger skills in our profession.

In her spare time she enjoys running, cross country skiing, knitting, volunteer DJing at the local radio station, KGLT and spending time with her identical twin nephews.
