Information Technology Director, Cascade Public Media

Julianne Lamsek

Julianne currently serves as Information Technology Director for Cascade Public Media in Seattle, home of PBS affiliate KCTS 9 and Crosscut.com, a nonprofit news site that focuses on in-depth public interest journalism. She contributes to the organization’s success by providing steady, pragmatic technology leadership, by delivering on transformative advancements to the organization’s technical infrastructure and by maintaining a valued, service-oriented department within the organization.

Julianne serves on the boards of BirdNote and Audubon Alaska. Previously, she served on the PBS Digital Advisory Council and on the board of PCC Community Markets, where she held several leadership positions including board chair.

Julianne received her MBA from the University of Washington and bachelor’s degrees in communications and business administration from Washington State University, where she graduated with honors. Her interest in working in media began when she was a student at WSU, where she volunteered at the student-run radio station, KUGR.
